William R. Osgood, Ph.D. | Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Osgood joined ThermoGenesis Corp. in January 2006 as General Manager of Operations, and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the operations of Class II and III medical device companies to the Company, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Sorin Group Company's $250 million cardiopulmonary business, where he managed worldwide commercial operations and research and development for its intra-operative heart and lung devices and related disposables. Dr. Osgood joined Sorin after the company acquired COBE Cardiovascular Inc., where he led the industrial integration of plants worldwide. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Baxter Healthcare's $800 million CardioVascular Group, where he successfully reengineered business processes across multiple divisions resulting in sales growth, cost reductions and deeper customer partnerships. He holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, a Masters Degree of Business Administration, a Masters Degree of Science in Control Theory and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles.
Philip H. Coelho |
Chief Technology Architect
Mr. Coelho was named President of ThermoGenesis Corp.
in September 1989, and currently serves as Chief Technology
Architect. From October 1986 to September 1989, Mr.
Coelho held the position of Vice President and Director
of Research, Development and Manufacturing. From October
1989 to July 2007 Mr. Coelho served as Chief Executive
Officer. Prior to his association with ThermoGenesis,
Mr. Coelho was President of Castleton, Inc. (October
1983 to October 1986), a company that developed and
licensed the ultra-rapid heat transfer technology to
ThermoGenesis Corp. Mr. Coelho holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of California, Davis, and is the inventor or co-inventor
on the majority of the company's patents.
Matt T. Plavan | Chief
Financial Officer
Mr. Plavan Joined ThermoGenesis in May of 2005 as Chief
Financial Officer. Mr. Plavan brings 20 years of financial
leadership, P&L responsibility and general management
experience to the Company. Before joining the Company,
Mr. Plavan served from 2002 to 2005 as Chief Financial
Officer of StrionAir, Inc., an air purification product
development and marketing company. Prior to that, Mr.
Plavan was the Chief Financial Officer for a wireless
device management Company, Reason Inc., from 2000 to
2002. During the preceding seven years, 1993 through
2000, Mr. Plavan served in a number of key financial
and operating leadership roles within McKesson and McKesson-acquired
companies, including most recently, Vice President of
Finance for a $300 million ehealth division. Prior to
that, Mr. Plavan was an audit manager in the Audit and
Risk Advisory Services group of Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Plavan earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Economics
from The University of California at Santa Barbara,
California. Mr. Plavan became a Certified Public Accountant
in 1992.
John Chapman, Ph.D | Vice
President of R&D and Scientific Affairs
Dr. Chapman serves as ThermoGenesis Corp's Vice President
of Scientific Affairs and is responsible for directing
the company's scientific strategy and life science initiatives
in cell therapy and wound care. John Chapman, Ph.D is
a seasoned leader of medical product Research and Development
programs with 20 years of experience in integrating
life sciences, chemistry and biomedical engineering
to develop new products. Prior to joining ThermoGenesis
Corp., Dr. Chapman was the Vice President of Research
and Development at V.I. Technologies from 1999 to 2005.
From 1983 to 1999, Dr. Chapman was with Baxter Healthcare
Corporation in various scientific positions of product
development with his last position being Scientific
Director in the Fenwal Division. He holds a Ph.D. in
Toxicology and has authored 22 issued U.S. patents and
32 scientific publications in the fields of chemistry,
devices, biologics and blood processing.

Hubert
E. Huckel, M.D. | Chairman
Director, Titan Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Dr. Huckel joined the Board of Directors in 1997. He
is a founder of Catalyst Pharmaceutical Partners and
serves as its Chairman of the Board. In addition, he
sits on the Board of Directors of Titan Pharmaceuticals,
Inc., Amarin Pharmaceuticals, plc and Valera Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. He was affiliated with the Hoechst Group (now Aventis)
for nearly thirty years and, at the time of his retirement,
was Executive Chairman of the Board of Hoechst-Roussel
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Huckel received his M.D. degree
from the University of Vienna, Austria, and is a member
of the Rockefeller University Council.

Patrick J. McEnany | Director
Patrick J. McEnany is a founder and Chief Executive
Officer of Catalyst Pharmaceutical Partners, a drug
development company formed in January 2002. From 1991
to April of 1997, Mr. McEnany was Chairman and President
of Royce Laboratories, Inc., a Miami, Florida- based
manufacturer of generic prescription drugs. Following
the merger of Royce into Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc.,
Mr. McEnany served (1997-1998) as President of the wholly-owned
Royce Laboratories subsidiary and Vice President of
Corporate Development for Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
He was Vice Chairman and Director of the National Association
of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (1993-1997) and currently
serves on the Board of Directors for Renal CarePartners,
Inc., an operator of kidney dialysis centers, and the
Jackson Memorial Hospital Foundation. Mr. McEnany sat
on the Board of Directors of Med/Waste, Inc. His tenure
was March 2000 to February 13, 2002, when the company
filed for voluntary bankruptcy protection under federal
bankruptcy laws.
Woodrow Myers, M.D. | Director
Woodrow Myers, M.D., M.B.A. has served director of ThermoGenesis
since June 2006. Dr. Myers, a director at Stanford University
Hospital and visiting adjunct professor of medicine
at the UCLA School of Medicine, is the former executive
vice president and chief medical officer of WellPoint,
Inc., where he established the Health Quality Assurance
Division. Prior to his position at WellPoint, Dr. Myers
served as the director of health care management at
the Ford Motor Company where he initiated quality assurance
metrics for Ford healthcare vendors and established
new global health and safety policies to benefit Ford
and its employees. He is a former health commissioner
for the city of New York and the state of Indiana, past
chairman of the Visiting Committee for the Harvard School
of Public Health and has served as a member of the Harvard
University Board of Overseers and the Stanford University
Board of Trustees. Dr. Myers holds medical and business
degrees from Harvard and Stanford, respectively.
Mahendra S. Rao, M.D., Ph.D. | Director
Mahendra S. Rao is a Vice President, Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine for Invitrogen Corporation, a corporation that provides products and services that support academic and government research institutions and pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide in their efforts to improve the human condition since 2006. From 2001 to 2005 he was Section Chief (stem cell)/Senior Investigator at the National Institute of Aging’s Laboratory of Neuroscience. He currently services as an Associate Professor at the NCBS Bangalore India and Neurosciences-John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He holds an M.D. in Medicine and a Ph.D. in Dev. Neurobiology from the Bombay University. He has authored over twenty submitted, five issued patents and 250 scientific publications in the field of stem cell therapies and has chaired the US FDA cell and gene therapy advisory committee.
